Organic wastes generated from the public market of the Municipality of Bantayan are collected daily and transported to the CMRF. On the average, the CMRF received 20 tons of organic waste every month.

Bantayan is seriously seeking for a durable solution to address complex waste management challenges in the context of climate change. Today, the goal is to shift from the typical collection and disposal of garbage to RECOVERY of garbage with economic value at the household level. Today, there are more than twenty thousand households, 392 puroks and 25 barangays to consider in the management of wastes.
